Jung Sky celebrates 15 years in business aviation

As of late November 2024, Croatian business aviation operator Jung Sky is officially “15 years-old”.
And counting.
The company started in 2009 with just a couple of employees. Back then, in the early beginnings, they had only the Cessna 172 which they used to provide panoramic flights above Zagreb during autumn, winter and spring, and then above Brac island in summertime.
Today, Jung Sky employs 25 people including seven pilots, and has two Cessna 525A CJ2 jets in the fleet. The operator’s headquarters and aircraft base are in Croatia’s capital Zagreb, and in the last couple of years they’ve also certified their own line and base maintenance station at LDVA Varazdin Airport just 80 kilometres from Zagreb.
“Jung Sky is a highly respected brand in the business aviation industry. That’s not me doing marketing, it’s feedback we’re continuously receiving from our clients”, said Kresimir Jung, the company’s co-founder and one of Jung Sky’s captains. “Our mission is to be proud of the service we provide and to be the company everyone loves working with. I think we’ve had success in achieving that and it’s something everyone in the company takes great pride in.”
2024, best year so far?
Jung Sky performs around 1,400-1,500 flights per year, landing at more than 200 airports across Europe. During one calendar year, they are contracted by more than 200 different broker companies from around the world with the likes of Lunajets, PrivateFly, Air Partner, Fly Victor, Air Charter Service, Cielo Aviation, Simply Jet, Captain Jet and etc. among their most engaging clients.
“The PrivateFly team has enjoyed working with Jung Sky since the very beginning”, says Gianluca Cioffi, Director of Partner Relations at PrivateFly. “Their attention to detail and commitment to high level service makes every flight for our in-house teams and clients very smooth and enjoyable. For us, Jung Sky is more than just a service provider – they’re a partner who understands our values and high standards. Their professionalism and enthusiasm for what they do is second to none, and this is shown with the consistently excellent feedback we receive from our clients about their services and crew. Not only on a professional level, but on a personal level too, PrivateFly has had the privilege of building fantastic relationships with their team as true industry friends. We’re grateful to have a partner like Jung Sky and we look forward to many more years of shared success and great memories.”
Marta De Lorenzo, a Private Aviation Advisor at LunaJets, agrees. “Jung Sky is known in LunaJets for exceptional responsiveness and flexibility, they adapt effortlessly to meet evolving needs, ensuring each flight experience is seamless. Their client-focused approach and willingness to go the extra mile make every journey feel special.”
Marta continues: “Above all, the team at Jung Sky stands out not only for their professionalism, but also for their genuine warmth and kindness, creating a welcoming atmosphere that clients value deeply.”
At the moment, 2024 is looking like it could be Jung Sky’s best year so far. In the first ten months of 2024, the company’s sales department received a total of 76,430 inquiries through the Avinode platform which is 6.6 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
“It's an absolute pleasure to work with Jung Sky as our Private Jet supplier. Their team is incredibly proactive, always anticipating our needs and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Their effectiveness in handling every aspect of our requests is truly commendable, making our experience enjoyable every time”, stated Joseph Bees, Partner Relations Manager at Air Partner.
The growing interest on Avinode definitely reflected on the actual sales. Jung Sky achieved record-breaking numbers of passenger flights this year in February, March, May, June and October. From Jan 1 to Oct 30, the company performed 619 passenger flights which represents a 20 percent increase from the average achieved in the same period from 2018 to 2023.
The flight-time of passenger flights in 10 months of 2024 was also record-breaking, superseding last year by 0.5 percent even though in 2023 the company one more jet in the fleet for about three months. Compared to the first ten months of 2022, when the jet count was equal to what it is today, passenger flight time this year has so far grown by 15.4 percent.
“I am proud of the fact that throughout these 15 years and despite all the difficulties we have faced, the company has achieved continuous growth and progress”, said co-founder and IT Manager Vedran Jung. “I am also very proud that everyone in our company, from top to bottom, are insisting on continuous efforts to improve the quality of our service even more, despite the very high bar set from the very beginning.”
“For many years, Simply Jet has enjoyed a reliable and rewarding partnership with Jung Sky. They are an operator we know we can count on, thanks to their outstanding sales and operations teams and their commitment to clear, effective communication”, said Stéphanie Pastorek, Commercial Director at Simply Jet. “In a sector as unpredictable as aviation, having a partner like Jung Sky provides invaluable stability and trust. We are truly pleased to work with such a dedicated and professional team that understands the human side of this business.”
